CAFES/BARS, RESTAURANTS & MARKETS

Around us

In La Turballe, we are lucky to have a dozen cafés/bars and around twenty good quality restaurants located on the port’s front and on the pedestrian street. So you’ll be able to vary your pleasures…enjoy a good Breton beer on the terrace with tapas and try some of our region’s specialities: fish from La Turballe’s fish market (seabass, sardines, fried smelt…), Oysters from Kercabellec and/or Croisic, Mussels from Dumet island, fisherman’s broth (fish soup), and a seafood platter with crab, spider crab, velvet crab, lobster, shrimp, periwinkles, whelk, clams, saltwater clams, and langoustines...

Don’t forget the seafood sauerkraut and couscous. There’s also the must-try traditional Breton black wheat waffles and wheat pancakes. Make sure you try “Kig Ha Farz”, our famous Breton stew and our Fish’n Schips Breizh.

For those who prefer more classic dishes, you can try grilled meats, homemade sausages, shank and veal head. There are also restaurants with pizza, sandwiches, kebabs, wraps and paninis.

A list of cafés/bars and restaurants is available from the hotel reception.

La Turballe has a covered market on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the year (8am to 1pm). What’s more, on Wednesdays in July and August (7pm to 11pm), an Arts and Crafts market livens up the town centre’s summer nights.
